Buddhism workshops with the Honorable Master Yuan Ci have been held at the temple. Workshops covered many areas including:

• An Introduction to the philosophy and matter of practice.
• Working meditation, sitting meditation, and sleeping meditation.
• Training of the Masters. Master Bodhidharma and Hui Nen the six Patriarch of the Zen/Ch'an school.

Honorable Master Yuan Ci was born in Henan, China, and ordained in the Mahayana tradition. He reads, writes and speaks Chinese (his mother tongue), English (for twenty years), P li (for 15 years), Sinhalese (spoken for 15 years). He has lectured on a wide range of Buddhist doctrines to international audiences both Buddhist and non-Buddhist for the last fifteen years. He has published articles in China and Hong Kong on Buddhism in Cambodia, Sri Lanka and Indonesia. Master Yuan Ci has a book soon to be published on Buddhism in South East Asia. His research has lead him to cover P li, Sanskrit and Chinese Sources. It is entitled The Development of Concept of the Bodhisattva in the Scriptures. His study of Buddhism covers the areas of history, doctrine, literature, meditation, methods of Mahayana Buddhist Chan, social philosophy and law.
