The course takes place at Shaolin Temple UK, on Wednesdays and Saturdays between 9.00am-10.20am.
The course will run from 11th October to 16th December.
With the 8 class pass, you can attend 8 of these classes in this peroid, if you wish to attend more you can enrol into more.
The 8 class-pass is best used consecutively, and will provide you with a foundation of the Ba Duan Jin form so that you can continue to practice on your own.

Shaolin Temple will be hosting a new Qigong Workshop by Shifu Shi Heng Dao, 35th generation Shaolin disciple under Shifu Yanzi, and grandmaster Shaolin Abbot Shi Yong Xin. The course is for beginners of all ages who wish to learn a new health benefit – Shaolin Qigong.
his is a comprehensive course that will gradually prepare you to be able to understand how to begin your energy - Qigong practice and how to practice it correctly to gain health and increase energy levels. It will also give you important information about how to make your life calmer and happier using simple but effective meditation techniques that have been tested since ancient times.
These exercises have been tested throughout centuries and are very beneficial. They can be practiced and adapted to people with many different health conditions and ages to help them either to improve their mental and physical health or just to improve their everyday lifestyle - these exercises are developed either to help improve one's immune system, mind and body or to maintain them in a healthy state. They are also very beneficial as a supplement to those who already practice other exercises, such as yoga, tai chi or other martial arts. This practice has been developed and tested throughout generations and have been handed down in a very practical way. To practice them we do not need any special equipment or lots of space. These exercises are traditional exercises with some of them being quite secret and practiced only in the family generations or in the temples among monks and nuns.
The curriculum includes focusing on studying correct movements, important theory, correct breathing techniques and forms that are important for developing a strong foundation. If practiced regularly in this way the practice will surely lead a practitioner to gain great health benefits and different skills that are important in our everyday life. The training will also use the special Qigong brush which helps us improve our body energy circulation and makes our skin, muscles and bones stronger.

- Relaxation Qigong (Fang Song Gong). Important sophisticated methods of progressive relaxation that may be practiced standing or seated.
- Standing Meditation (Zhan Zhuang) - Standing Meditation is the foundation – the heart and soul of energy - qigong practice. The student learns to stand in meditative postures for a period of time in order to relax, improve posture, deepen the breath, and increase the body's structural integrity.
In depth study of important Shaolin Qi gong form – BA DUAN JIN (Eight Brocades or 8 Pieces of Brocade). It was primarily designated as a form of meditation and medical qigong, meant to improve mental and physical health and also as a supplement to help to improve the practice of other practices like martial arts...
